I realized today that I should write this down. It may not be a big deal to some of you, but as I was telling my brother about it, I felt encouraged in my faith and want to be reminded of it someday.
When we went to the Mall of America last week (more rides- free passes), Isaac hurt his foot. He wouldn't walk on it and insisted that he ride in the stroller or that I carry him. I didn't really worry about it because he wasn't crying at all when there was no pressure on it. We gave him some Tylenol when we got home and put him to bed.
The next morning, I lifted him out of his crib and set him down to see what he would do. He started running across the room, but only got a couple steps before he collapsed on the ground and started moaning. The whole morning was this way. He seemed to be in pain (or in frustration) even when he wasn't walking on it.
I called the nurse to see if I should bring him into urgent care. After many questions, she strongly suggested I take him into the ER. I was panicked. I talked to Sarah Jo and then called Jess to see if she could take Cal. Meanwhile, Sarah called Lisa and both girls were praying for Ike.
Seriously not 10 minutes later, Isaac ran through the kitchen pushing Calvin in the dump truck. We ended up going to park that morning- he ran around as if nothing was wrong and there have been no complaints since.
Isn't that a great story?!
