Morning at the Pool/Park
When Jess walked up, she didn't think this was Isaac because Leah "would never put her son in such a dorky hat!" Oh, but I did, Jess. I did.
Doesn't Isaac look so much like Calvin in this picture?!
(Although Calvin in this picture looks pretty dorky...)

Update
What Cal has been doing lately:
1. Counting backwards, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Blast off!"
2. Imagining:
*While eating a cracker, "I'm eating buffalo wings." (Not sure if he's ever had buffalo wings.) Everything has to do with food. Sponges are crackers; Pegs are bananas; empty bowl contains oatmeal with blueberries; pencils are pretzels; pillows are sandwiches...
*He has also been carrying around "Baby Bear" and Snoopy saying that they are his babies. "My babies are sad. They miss their mommy." "My babies need food, too." "My babies have to go potty."
3. Being so awesomely nice to Isaac.
*Today, Cal was running around the room and Isaac kept turning to look at Cal. Then Cal would run over to Ike, stick his face in Ike's face and laugh. Then the two would roll over cracking up. I tried to get this on video, but couldn't find the camera.
*Also, on the way home from the pool today, I was giving Cal triscuits. I would take a tiny piece off and give it to Isaac. Once, when Ike finished his cracker, he lunged for Cal's. Cal bit off a tiny piece, took it out of his mouth and put it in Isaac's mouth.
What has Isaac been doing?
1. Sweeping my floor. I have to change him a couple times a day because he chases me all over the house on his belly.
2. Trying so hard to pull himself up.
3. Finally getting a tad clingy. Today, he kept turning around to face me while I was holding him on my lap.
4. Putting Cheerios in his mouth by the handful (still hasn't quite gotten the hang of the pincher grasp).

David and Goliath
Cal has been pretending to be David and makes me be Goliath. He shouts, "I come at you in the [name of the] Lord God Almighty!" and then , "I hit you in the head with my stone!" I'm supposed to fall down and make a loud crash. Today, he found a bra of mine and is using that for a slingshot.

Weekend at the lake
We had our annual get-together at our friend's parents' house on a lake with Eric's friends from college. It started off as 20 single people and a few couples and has now become almost all couples with about 12 children under 5. It's crazy and fun. Cal had a blast and Isaac barely slept but enjoyed being outside and the new surroundings.
Isaac had his first taste of ice cream at McDonald's (or as Cal calls it "Old Mac Donald's) on the way home. As you can see, he couldn't get enough and even whined when I was done.
Good looking people.
Our friend, Randy, was trying to ski barefoot and ended up going to the hospital. Eric and I went wakeboarding, but I didn't get any pictures of that awesomeness.
There is a mucky muck at the beach of this lake. There is about two inches of clear water above it, and that is why Cal is moving so slow. He's getting stuck. I couldn't go in the water much right here because I thought about the worms getting my feet. Cal wasn't scared.

Isaac clapping
Isaac has finally learned how to make noise by clapping. He also loves this Spiderman tube of Cal's.
Misc.
Lola is so great with the kids. She will let them do anything to her- pull her hair, poke out her eyes... She also checks on Isaac when he's crying and licks his face.
The result of playing with Cal without parental supervision (Notice that the stickers say "USA").
Cal did this in the bathtub when I was in the other room getting Isaac ready for bed (again- no adult supervison. Yes, mom, I was talking to him to make sure he was still alive). Cal said it was a clown. This is the first picture he's ever drawn that actually looks like something. He made eyes, a nose, a mouth and arms coming out of the head!
Half-naked Cal
Cal gets so hyper after his bath when he's naked. I put some underoos on him for this, for your benefit.

The Children's Museum
We went to the museum today with a bunch of other families from our church. We got there late and had to leave early- all because of our youngest son. Sigh. He already doesn't live up to the standards that his older brother has set.
Ike's new favorite position. He can't do this by himself yet. I had to stand him up.
Molly and Cal. Molly is hilarious. She drags Cal around wherever she wants to go. He protests a little bit, but mostly, he loves being taken care of.
Army Crawl
He just learned how to do this within the last couple days. Look how great he is at it already. My child, the crawling prodigy.
