Cal and Mado

Cal's friend, Madeleine (AKA Mado), came over this morning while their parents were having a garage sale. We all went to the farmer's market and then they played in the pool. We know her family from church.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa! We love you.

Today at the Pool

Hannah

Proof that Isaac was, in fact, there.

Cal was in heaven. He was jumping around giggling and laughing. He even fell under water a couple times and did great. Then he said, "Look. I hold my breath," and put his face in.

Aren't they the most gorgeous kids! I told them to get together for the picture and they posed like that themselves.

Sammy picked that hat out himself- he doesn't leave home without it.

Finally!

I have finally made some time to update this danged thorn-in-my-side/ Another-thing-to-feel-guilty-about-not-doing blog.
Enjoy some pictures and videos that have been taken these past couple weeks.
Thanks for being entertained by us, everyone!

Crazy Kicking Ike AKA "Criking"

It Starts Now...

The past two weeks...

Seriously. Have you ever seen such a large baby?

We went to this awesome FREE sprinkler park. Cal had a blast.

Not sure where he got this goofy face.

One of Isaac's favorite things to do is bathe. He is so happy when he's naked and wet.
Cal has finally started taking care of his stuffed animals. His favorites are Baby Bear and Snoopy (not shown).

We went to Lincoln Park Zoo when we were in Chicago. Cal's favorite animal is the giraffe.

Here's Meatwad Ike and Baby Freddie (who is also pretty dang big).

New and Exciting

This is how the little meatball sleeps sometimes!

"Hey, ladies."

Grandma Winnie and the boys

Cal got so obsessed with Grandma Sally's "Washing Gloves" today. He kept wearing them around the house and wanted to help. Right here, he was saying "rock on" and trying to put his pointer finger and pinky finger up. That's why Grandma is making that face.

Afternoon at the Staton's

Grandma Stacey and Ike

Cousin Anna and Cal. Cal had so much fun. Anna let him "drive." He mainly turned the steering wheel while Anna pushed the pedal, but sometimes he forgot and just hung on to the bar on top. He was in heaven.

Anna got out this little carseat for Ike "in case he got tired." She even picked him up (while we weren't looking) and put/dropped him in it. She wanted to take care of him. She's so nurturing.

Rachel and boyfriend, Jason.

Aunty Lauren's Graduation Party

Little Lauren is in the pink. I can't believe this is the only picture I got of her! So sorry, Lauren.

Neighbor Karen couldn't get enough of Ike's cheeks.

Uncle Jason and Ike

Eric's little sister, Lauren, graduated from high school this past weekend. The Miller's had a big bash to celebrate her awesomeness.

Spleny

Yesterday, I brought a fan into the room before Cal's nap.
Cal: Whatchoo got?
Me: A fan.
Cal: I thought you had a spleny.
Me: a what?
Cal: a spleny.
Me: I'm not sure what you are saying, Bud.
Cal: A spleny is a type of house that's real straight. You go up up up in a spaceship to go to heaven to be with God. [Pause.] Then it rains.

Laundry Baskets

Cal and Ike were playing together in the laundry baskets. Cal called them "Music Boats" because he was singing while he was inside.

Friends

I brought Isaac into get Cal after his nap. Ike was so happy to see Calvin and started waving his arms all over. Cal kept saying, "Hi!" to Isaac. Cal leaned over and gave Isaac a huge hug and yelled, "He's my friend!"

Kisses

Eric was kissing Calvin a whole bunch on the face and Cal asked, "Why are you giving me so many kisses, Daddy?" Eric said, "Because I love you so much!" Cal said, "OH!" and gave Eric lots of kisses.

Later, I was in the kitchen and Eric told Cal to come give me lots of kisses. Cal came running in the kitchen and started kissing me all over... on my booty.

Try it

Cal was eating watermelon and asked Eric, "Where's your watermelon?" Eric jokingly replied, "Eww. I don't like watermelon." Cal said, "You'll like it, sweetie. Try it."

Fun with the Sprouts

Tracy, Jaiden and Will came by for the day (Joe showed up later with Chipotle for dinner- yum). We had not seen them since they moved to FL about 5 months ago. The kids had so much fun together and we miss them tons! Will changed the most. He was obsessed with Tootie and Lola (I'm glad someone likes them) and followed them around yelling "Da!" and panting.
