Boys vs. Girls

My mom finally got a very good glimpse of the difference between boys and girls. I was playing with my best friend, Hannah, again today. She was sitting calmly in her frog chair as I raced around the room. I ran to the piano, played a couple notes, raced back into my mom's arms and back to the piano again. Back and forth I went. Then, I learned how to climb onto Hannah's couch (first time), and even though my mom cautioned me to be careful, I leapt off the couch and landed on my head. Then I cried just a little bit (my mom will tell you I cried a lot, though). But, I was happy again when I got my Silky (my blanket).
I have also learned to say Help, though it sounds more like Hep.

Snakes

Written by Leah:
I've been doing lots of baby signs for different animals and Cal catches on to a new one almost every day. Penguin: Pat leg; Bear: Hold up hand like a claw; Lion: Fan hands out by head. Today, he decided to show Eric that he saw a snake: Put palms together with fingers facing out and move arms and hands back and forth. Cal did snake through dinner (after pointing at the book with a snake in it) and during playtime (finding a book with a snake in it).
Then... bathtime. Cal touched his pee pee while looking at his dad. Eric said, "That's your penis, Cal." Cal had other ideas. He did the snake sign.
What a funny dude.

Ha-Nay-Nay and Me

Hannah and I went to the store with our moms today. They let us have balloons and ricecakes to keep us occupied. We were so good! Then we went to Sam's Club and got to sit in the same cart. That's pretty fun except that Hannah is pretty aggressive. She likes to put her fingers in my mouth, pull my jacket off and claw my face. I think she must see that kind of behavior at home. We had lots of fun, though, when we put our heads back and our moms tickled our necks.

More Words

Cal is finally calling me "Mama!" Hoorah. He points to pictures of me in them and says it. Or when I leave a room, he says it. He just started saying, "Dada," too. And he yells really loud, "Dah!" meaning "Dog." He also yells that when he points to his balloon. Go figure.

Chocolate

From Leah:

Today, I "snuck" a Hershey Kiss and Cal saw that I was chewing something and knew it was a treat. He whined and pointed to my mouth, but I played dumb and finished chewing the kiss. I thought I was in the clear until Cal came back with a book, opened it up to a picture of a chocolate cake, pointed at it and said, "MMMmmm."
He got a Hershey's Kiss.

Then later, when I was finished telling the story to Lisa while holding Cal, I looked at him and he leaned in to give me a kiss.

I love all kinds of kisses.

More Valentine's Pictures

I used the stickers that Grandma Sally and Grandpa 'Stache
sent me to make a valentine for my daddy. My mom
helped me a little with the stickers, but I did ALL the coloring myself. I'm drunk, but loving the balloon my mom and dad got me!
Grandma Barb and Grandpa Steve got me tons of chocolate. Mom hasn't opened the kisses yet, but I LOVED the Chocolate Dog Lips. MMmmmm.

Greasy? No. Handsome? Yes.

Hannah and I love Ronald McDonald. There's a McDonald's in the skyway on the way to the museum. We get to walk over the streets and look at all the cars below. There's even some ramps to run down!

Lego Land

I went to the Mall of America today and I had a great time making my mom chase me around Lego Land and Camp Snoopy. I got in trouble once for not listening, but it was worth it. I love to take apart legos, yell if I'm unable to take apart the legos and throwing legos.

Today, I had a fever and congested breathing. But that doesn't stop me from cracking myself up. Hats are my new favorite thing. It's a good thing I have lots of hats, because I'm not content with just one.
Fun new tricks: I have learned to throw my dirty tissues away and to dry my hands after my mom washes them. I am also starting to run around.

Museum Fun

I went to the Children's Museum with mom. It was great. I ran around like a maniac.

Today is my seventh day in a row with green boogers. For those of you who don't know, green or yellow boogers mean: I have a cold; I can't go to playgroup; mom can't go to Bible study since I can't be in nursery; I can't go to the Children's Museum
Luckily, there is story time at a local bookstore. That will keep me occupied and mom sane.
Here is a funny picture that I never posted but I think is great. I look so stinking good.
Date: Jan 05 (Chad and Christa's wedding)

Uncle Jason and Aunt Stef came to visit this weekend. They are so much fun. My mom was sick, so Aunt Stef took care of me. She's great. Too bad my mom was too delirious to take pictures.
My new words: "sss" with a head nod means "yes." "Thss" means "this." I point at everything in books to say, "what's this?"
My new baby signs: Nap, book

Today, my mom was talking on the phone, so in order to get her attention, I hit myself on the head with a toy car and started fake crying. It was great. I did it twice. The only downside is that mom didn't fall for it. I will have to try harder.
I attached a picture, but it's not of today. I just want you to see how big I am getting.
PS I will totally give up this Blog if no one is reading it. Please make a comment (Grandma Barb? Are you there?) if you read these. Peace out.

Hannah came over to play again. She loved my little truck, but I decided to fight her for it. I pretty much won since I am so tough. If only my mom saw my toughness, rather than my selfishness... sigh.
My poop has been blue lately since I'm eating so many blueberries. How exciting!
