Skinny, Tall Dude

Hi, everyone! I had my two year check up this week. I'm 36 inches tall! You math geniuses (like me) know it means I'm three feet tall! I can officially ride the rides at Mall of America by myself now- although I'm not sure if my mom will let me. And I weigh 27 lbs. I'm a skinny, tall dude.

I didn't have to have any shots, but needed my blood drawn to make sure I don't have lead poisoning. I was so brave. I didn't even cry when the nurse pricked my finger and he said, "I wish every kid was like you!" So, I got two stickers from the doctor's office and a chocolate muffin from my mom.

Cal's second birthday party

I had so much fun with Hannah, Jaiden and Sammy. Baby Atticus, Baby Will and Baby Matthew were there, too, but they are no fun yet.

Boobs

Today at Target, Cal pointed at a bra and yelled, "boobs!" I said, "Yeah, Cal. That's called a bra." He then found an orange bra and yelled, "Mama! Orange boobs!" Then, walking along the display wall, he said softly to himself, "big boobs; white boobs; pink boobs..."

Nice.

Last night, I tucked Cal into bed and said, "I love you." He said, "Love you, mama."

First Sentences (that I know of, anyway)

"Grandpa, where are you?"
"That's Grandma's cheese."

Crazy Cal at the Arboretum

Grandma Sally and I heard that there was a water area at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. So, we brought Cal's swimsuit. It turned out that the water was to walk in, but no other kid had a bathing suit on. That didn't stop Cal from laying in the water, wanting his shirt off and getting crazy.

Funny or New Things that Cal Does

1. Runs through the house yelling, "happy happy happy happy happy..." and then diving into my or Eric's lap.

2. Repeating (or trying to repeat) everything we say.

3. Using possessives without the 's. "Cal pee pee" - while pointing to his pee pee. "Mama water" "Dada nipple"

4. Adjectives plus noun "Big boy" "Blue ball".

5. Noun plus verb "Atticus crying"

July 4th Weekend- Fun with Grandma; Fun with Water

Cal loves the new bike that Grandma Sally brought up with her. He's still learning how to coordinate his feet, though.

We went to a public pool and Cal was a maniac. I told him to "smile" and this is what he did. Nutball.

















Cal was dumping water on himself on accident- he was trying to throw it out of the pool, but it kept going on his face.
